Peter Jones has two Carry On appearances to his credit, the first is the hard-of-hearing chaplain in Doctor and the other is the supposed wise-cracking Brigadier in England, who gets, intentionally, some of the worst lines of the film. "Whose flag is that", he asks, as a pair of bloomers are hoisted up the flagpole, "Nicaragua’s!" He is also well known for the harassed boss in The Rag Trade and appears in Beggar My Neighbour and more recently a regular on radio’s Just A Minute. Died April 10, 2000 (age 79) in Westminster, London. |
